Weddings, Private Parties & Corporate Events

The Pleasance Garden in Haddington can be booked for drinks receptions and a marquee for your wedding, private party or corporate event.

We welcome having the Garden used for suitable pre-booked events that respect the plants and landscapes. Small parties and larger gatherings of up to 50 to 80 guests work well in the Garden.

As the Garden is run as a charity, a donation to Haddington Garden Trust through JustGiving will be requested. Our highly competitive exclusive use rates range from £300 to £990, depending on the type of event that you are planning, the number of guests and the duration.

If helpful, we can suggest local suppliers for you to rent a gazebo or marquee.

The date and logistics for your wedding or party will be agreed in advance with the Trustees. The Garden may well be closed during your event to give you exclusive use, subject to your event.

Wedding Photos & Videos

The Garden also provides a unique location for your wedding photos or video, particularly if your wedding ceremony is taking place at St Mary’s Church next door, or in any of Haddington’s many churches. 

There are lots of beautiful backdrops with colourful flowers, mature flower borders, tree allees and historic buildings. Perfect for creative, natural wedding photos!

For wedding photos, we’d be very grateful if you’d make a donation to Haddington Garden Trust of a minimum of £200 via JustGiving. 

Your donation will be used to develop and maintain the garden and is part of your agreement for using the garden.
